Client Needs

Gruppo Dolomiti Energia decided to collaborate with Eggup – Zucchetti Group starting in February 2024. The purpose of the project was to further strengthen its recruitment process and Candidate Experience, aimed at integrating new figures into the company. To achieve this, the company chose to implement an engaging and innovative selection pathway focused on valuing talent. This pathway provided Gruppo Dolomiti Energia with the necessary tools to select candidates who align not only with the job position but also, and especially, with the company’s values. In addition, the project gave candidates the opportunity to gain a greater awareness of their skills, helping them strengthen them through the provision of self-development suggestions available in Eggup’s reporting and made accessible to the client.

Project Development

Our work focused on opening a customized account for Gruppo Dolomiti Energia on the Eggup platform, fully integrated with Inrecruiting, the company’s reference ATS. Here, we provided a set of tests to be used at different stages of the recruitment process, tailored to the specific roles being sought.

The customization work then centered around creating various sets of omnibus logical-aptitude tests. These assessments are designed to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of logical, verbal, and numerical reasoning abilities. They consist of actual tests aimed at assessing candidates’ mental capacity based not only on studied knowledge but also by analyzing mental reasoning, problem-solving ability, and the time required to perform these actions, as the exercises are presented within a defined time frame.

The final significant customization effort coincided with the creation of a scientifically validated test for evaluating the seven soft skills deemed essential by Gruppo Dolomiti Energia. Once the tool was created, following the fine-tuning activity, it was possible to upload it to the Eggup platform. Thanks to the integration with the Inrecruiting ATS, the client company could conduct evaluations of the key competencies sought conveniently within a single work environment, aided by the available historical data.

This operation greatly assisted the company on multiple levels. On one hand, it streamlined processes by providing support in screening a large number of candidates through the omnibus logical-aptitude tests. On the other hand, it improved the quality of incoming candidates, ensuring as objective a recruitment as possible for those advancing to the final interview stages. This resulted in a greater alignment with the culture and values of Gruppo Dolomiti Energia, thanks to the customized soft skills test.

Project Results and next developments

Gruppo Dolomiti Energia has evaluated approximately 300 applications to date (from February to September 2024) through different steps and tests made possible by the use of Eggup tools.

During the first six months of the project, we have already worked on various customizations, particularly of the omnibus logical-aptitude tests, to make them even more variable and adaptable to the logical, verbal, and numerical skills sought depending on the roles and seniority levels.

An additional development of the project will focus, starting from September 2024, on analytical activities regarding the available candidate sample. The aim is to determine benchmark values related to the skills sought, thus helping Gruppo Dolomiti Energia better identify top performers.

From this analysis, useful suggestions may also emerge for increasingly effective onboarding, such as potential training interventions or other targeted actions to support professional growth.
